The "Hidden Champion in Rheinland-Pfalz"

We had a nice visitor

IHK regional managing director Christina Schwardt visited the Fritsch company in Idar-Oberstein and exchanged views with the two brothers Sebastian and Max Fritsch, who now run the company in the 4th generation. FRITSCH GmbH is a company of excellence in the German SME sector with numerous patents and, according to the currently published SME Atlas of Rhineland-Palatinate, is one of the hidden champions in the Birkenfeld district. The SME atlas was compiled by scientists at the University of Trier.

But where does this title come from ?

The term hidden champion describes particularly successful medium-sized companies that are among the top 3 in their industry on the world market or number 1 in Europe, but are generally rather unknown. "Thank you for the nomination. It makes us proud and spurs us on. We are on the right track," say Sebastian and Max Fritsch.

FRITSCH - Milling and Sizing develops mills, sieving and analytical instruments for all conceivable applications from medical technology to cement producers, explains Sebastian Fritsch during a tour of the development departments. All FRITSCH products for grinding, sizing, sieving and dividing are manufactured according to special, constantly monitored quality standards at the German headquarters in Idar-Oberstein - with a high vertical range of manufacture, which is one of FRITSCH's special strengths. The in-house development department produces new models from the initial idea to the prototype.

The spirit of a title holder

FRITSCH attaches great importance to team spirit and a family-like working atmosphere. Thus, the Fritschis regularly organize employee events, such as barbecues, company outings or Christmas parties.

Christina Schwardt was also accepted directly into the circle of Fritschians and was allowed to try on a company hoodie. "We can be very proud to have such a company here in the region, led into the next generation by two motivated brothers who see their company as family. The FRITSCH company also fits in very well with the BioTech Valley and the HartSpröde competence cluster, which we as the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce would like to continue to promote," explains Chamber of Industry and Commerce Regional Managing Director Christina Schwardt.
