Why BikeAid?

BIKE AID is an international team dedicated to social projects and strengthening the community—and that’s a perfect fit for us Fritschis. We offer the JobBike as an employee benefit, and many of our Fritschis love to get out on their bikes—whether with a club or on their own. And of course, we participate in City Cycling every year, where we pedal hard for the climate.
The connection was made on a personal level: Maik’s son rides on the team managed by Dominik Gummel - an authentic connection that further strengthens the partnership.

Who is Bike Aid

BIKE AID combines athletic achievement with social commitment. The organization participates in approximately 400 events each year and has raised over 1,063,000 euros for social projects since its founding. In addition to its professional team, BIKE AID runs a robust youth development program—ranging from kids’ programs and youth support to the Development Team, which paves the way for young talents to enter international cycling. The Development Team is part of this support structure and offers young riders professional training conditions, race opportunities, and a sporting home where values such as fairness, responsibility, and community are paramount.

Meet and Greet

To kick off the partnership, we were visited by nine riders from the Development Team, as well as team founders Patrick Lechner and Dominik Gummel. We began with the customary company presentation, as it is important to the team leaders that the young athletes know exactly which partner they are competing for.

Afterward, the athletes were given a tour of the lab, including a live demonstration. With a wink, Patrick Lechner noted that the athletes also run a “mini-lab” in their daily lives—for example, when precisely mixing their carbohydrate drinks. As a token of appreciation, team shirts were exchanged.

A special highlight was the unveiling of the new team jersey for the season. The pink-and-teal design was officially unveiled for the first time and was met with great enthusiasm by the riders.
Of course, we couldn’t wrap up the day without a barbecue at our barbecue hut. We’re already excited to see where our logo will take us.
