To produce the least amount of fine particles, we used a frequency converter for a further reduction of rotor speed. On request, different gear boxes use to be available for a cutting mill.
We have chosen a wider gap between knives of rotor and fixed knives in the grinding chamber to minimize formation of fine particle.
After grinding, still a few particles use to be left loose on top of the sieve cassette. The more sample will be fed, the less will be the loss (w%) of those particles which will not been grabbed by the rotor.
Cleaning of the grinding chamber can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush.
Within 1 minutes, the bone disks have been comminuted. To determine resulting particles, we sieved out the complete sample. We found 50,8 % 4-10 mm fraction and 33,9 % < 2 mm fraction.
