A previous test without using a cyclone separator has shown that fine sample dust will stick to the sieve ring and rotor by electrostatic charge. Only with the active sample exhauster system with cyclone separator, charged particles will be removed and higher amounts of sample (unfortunately only a smaller amount of sample has been provided to testify) will be grindable.
After 60 seconds of grinding, complete sample amount got ground successfully. Rotor and sieve ring are only minimal polluted, a grinding of higher amounts is possible. We estimate that about 6-7 minutes might be required for 400 grams of lactose sample.
The ground particles which will be found inside the collecting glass of the cyclone use to have a d50 < 19 µm with d90 < 49 µm.
If feeding should be automatized, also a Vibratory Feeder LABORETTE 24 can be connected.
