Depending on tolerable abrasion, optional jaws and lateral support walls can be equipped in steel or zirconium oxide too.

With the standard geometry, this sample uses to pass the gap with small height of ~ 2-3mm, but a maximum length of up to 3cm. Usually particles up to 8 mm length will be found with typical types of sample.

Within 40 seconds, all sample has been ground successfully. A grinding of higher amounts (up to 2kg) should be possible without any problems.

Sample of result 1 has been used with the combination of Vibratory Feeder LABORETTE 24 and Rotary Cone Sample Divider LABORETTE 27. The LABORETTE 24 has been equipped with a V-shaped channel (stainless steel). The feed rate has been set to ~ 16g/min.

The LABORETTE 27 has been equipped with a dividing head 1:10 and 250ml bottles.

Sample has been fed centric to the top of the cone (also a feeding directly to the bottles is possible).

During the diving, the long pieces with up to 3 cm length have might jam the feeding funnel. Sample above the feeding channel might need to be supported with a spatula from time to time.

At the end of the feeding, fine sample dust might fly above the diving head funnel; we recommend not using the dividing head coverage to collect those dusty particles as well.

The evaluation of the results will be found with the attached document.

By the deviation of the 10 samples, a direct feeding into the bottles is not necessary. Even with such big particles, the dividing has shown very good results.

3 of the 1:10 divided samples (result 2) have been used for this trial. We ground a total amount of sample of ~ 74g. Even higher amounts can be ground. For such a sample, also a 250ml bowl with 6x 30mm Ø balls might be suitable for grinding.

Also other materials like e.g. tempered steel can be used for grinding (depending on tolerable abrasion of material after grinding).

After less than 1 minute, sample has been ground to fine powder. Because of the low sticking of sample, a further grinding is still possible to achieve a better endfineness.

We checked the present fineness with our Laser Particle Sizer ANALYSETTE 22 MicroTec plus (d10 < 0,94µm; d50 < 9,67µm; d90 < 45,67µm - see Meas. no. 59901 on separate page).

With this result, the sample use to be already finer as the desired endfineness you presented (d10 < 1,07µm; d50 < 16,00µm; d90 < 60,14µm) see meas. no.59903 of desired endfineness on separate page).
