3 of the 1:10 divided samples (result 2) have been used for this trial. We ground a total amount of sample of ~ 74g. Even higher amounts can be ground. For such a sample, also a 250ml bowl with 6x 30mm Ø balls might be suitable for grinding.
Also other materials like e.g. tempered steel can be used for grinding (depending on tolerable abrasion of material after grinding).
After less than 1 minute, sample has been ground to fine powder. Because of the low sticking of sample, a further grinding is still possible to achieve a better endfineness.
We checked the present fineness with our Laser Particle Sizer ANALYSETTE 22 MicroTec plus (d10 < 0,94µm; d50 < 9,67µm; d90 < 45,67µm - see Meas. no. 59901 on separate page).
With this result, the sample use to be already finer as the desired endfineness you presented (d10 < 1,07µm; d50 < 16,00µm; d90 < 60,14µm) see meas. no.59903 of desired endfineness on separate page).
Also find a similar ground sample for demonstration.
