We used our Jaw Crusher PULVERISETTE 1 Model I for grinding; with Model II, up to 95 mm long pieces can be ground.

The complete sample amount has been ground within 76 seconds. A grinding of higher amounts is still possible.

Cleaning of the grinding chamber can be done rapidly by vacuuming with a brush.

With a gap position of 3.0, all particles use to be < 2 cm. This will be an adequate size for a further comminution with a Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13. This sample can also be fed directly to a planetary mill (see result 3).

A crushing to a particle size < 1 mm as desired is not possible with a Jaw crusher.

With a smallest gap position of 1.0, still particles with a thickness of < 4 mm and a length of ~ 8 mm might be achieved.

Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13 classic line

gap setting: ~ 0,1 mm (smallest possible setting)

With smallest gap setting of 0,1 mm, particles with a thickness of 0,1 mm will be found. Length and width can be higher.

Complete sample has been ground within 60 seconds, grinding chamber use to be almost free of residues; just a few grams use to lie loose on the ribs of the fixed disk or inside of the feeding funnel. A grinding of higher amounts is still possible.

Planetary Mono Mill PULVERISETTE 6 classic line

Sample which has been pre ground with Jaw Crusher PULVERISETTE 1 Model I to a max. length of < 2 cm use to be dry enough for a direct grinding with our Planetary Mill. The usage of a Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13 for a further comminution is not necessary.

Within 3 minutes of grinding, the sample use to be ground to fine powder. Afterwards, we determined the particle size by sieving with our Vibratory Sieve Shaker ANALYSETTE 3. Already 75 % of particles use to be < 63 µm. For this, desired d50 < 63 µm is achieved.
