With this first trial, we wanted to make sure, that the metal sample will not ignite during or after grinding. We only took a smaller quantity of sample and reduced the main disk speed to 250 rpm.
After only 2 minutes of grinding, majority of sample use to be < 200 µm as desired; only a few particles use to show a maximum length of up to 300 µm.
To be on the save side, we recommend using a gassing lid and argon gas to prevent reaction with air (oxigen) – see result 2.
