With the smallest gap setting, a throughput of up to 16 kg / hour is plausible. If a start size < 2 cm can be provided, also a Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13 might be suitable for grinding the sample.

Also a combination of Jaw Crusher PULVERISETTE 1 Model I and Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13 is possible. With a bigger gap position (e.g. 2,5), the jaw crusher will pre grind the sample which is falling directly into the Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13 afterwards.

The second sample has been ground with gap position 2,0. This way, up to 10 mm long pieces can be found afterwards. Up to 25 kg per hour can be ground with such a gap position.

With Model II and its wider grinding chamber (95mm instead of 60 mm max. fed length), we are guessing that the throughput can be increased by ~ 40-50%.
