The complete kilogram of sample has been ground in 90 seconds. The majority of ground particles use to have a length of < 5 mm as desired. Still some particles of up to 8 mm length can be found after grinding.
With this setting up to 100 kg as desired should be ground in 2-2,5 hours.
The grinding chamber is free of residues; a grinding of higher amounts is still possible.
To achieve 100 % < 5 mm, we recommend grinding with the jaw crusher and setting “changed geometry”. In this case, the movable crushing jaw will open the maximum gap less wide and all particles should get ground to < 5 mm. With changed geometry, also the output will be minimized (it might take up to 4-5 minutes until all sample gets ground).
For a high throughput, we recommend to combine a Jaw Crusher PULVERISETTE 1 Model I with Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13. This way, pre ground sample of PULVERISETTE 1 will fall directly into the funnel of PULVERISETTE 13 which is able to grind higher amounts of sample with a min. gap of 0,1 mm. Particles with a max. length of 5 mm will be ground rapidly.
